This site has been created by members of the Halloween Association to help promote a fun and safe Halloween. Details of the Association are listed under members.

In this section of the site, you'll find a ready-written press release that you can customise to include your shop's name and your contact details. Download the file and put in your details where indicated.
Contact your local newspapers and ask for the editorial department. Ask for a contact name and either post your press release or send an email (they will probably prefer the latter).

Castle Capers was one of many retailers who did just that last year. The local newspaper sent around a photographer, interviewed the owners and used details from this website for a feature -- giving them free publicity.

Altogether, promotions organised by the Halloween Association last year brought in:
* over 70,000 hits to this site in just the 24 hours leading up to Halloween
* 10 radio interviews
* distribution of 20,000 safe Halloween posters
* newspaper coverage/competitions/reports nationwide
This year will be even more successful. Check partytimes magazine and Party Party magazine for ongoing news or contact one of the other members.
In this section of the site, there are also top tips for trick or treating safely and for householders taking part in the fun. Many retailers have added this information to their own websites. We are happy for you to do so, providing you give a credit and link to the Halloween Association site. Plus, you can print off these trick or treating signs as a free promotion for your customers.
